New Homes

Since 1989, the Colten Care business has built from just one home on Lymington High Street, to 19 beautifully appointed homes across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire.

Our three original homes (Monmouth HouseWoodpeckers and Court Lodge) were luxury residential dwellings that benefited from significant building and extension work to re-purpose them into care homes.  Since Whitecliffe House each of the 16 homes has been carefully designed and crafted by the building experts in our sister company, Colten Developments

Each new care home commissioned, benefits from intuitive architecture, innovative building materials and elegant interior and exterior design.  To ensure our entire family of homes continue to meet these high standards we implement a significant ongoing refurbishment programme.  For the last three years Colten Care have committed around £1m per year into enhancing our existing established homes to ensure each one meets our exacting standards.

Linden House - Opening March 2014

The latest addition to the Colten Care family, Linden House, our 20th care home, will be situated in Lymington.

Construction work began in April 2012 when diggers carved out the foundations and basement following the demolition of what had been a former local authority home, also called Linden House.

Towering over the emerging 4,000 sq ft building is a 100ft crane visible from all approaches to Lymington and a readily identifiable navigational feature for locals and visitors.

The crane is equipped with a 165ft boom that can carry and drop a 3.5-ton load anywhere on site.

The new home will be ‘L’ shaped with three floors as well as the basement. It is designed for up to 60 bedrooms.

Linden House Update 8th February 2013

The Commissioning Team for Colten Care got their first look at Linden House on the 5th February. Whilst still being very much a building site, site manager Steve Pinder took the team through the building and it was easy to see just how much effort and thought has gone into the design.

Linden House Update 26th March 2013

We are excited to announce that Linden House's confirmed date of opening will be March 2014, building work is going well and the home is really taking shape. Photographs of the work in progress will be available shortly.
